“ First time trying Babi Guling at Pak Malen, and I'm impressed! Large portions, really filling. The sambal is properly spicy , so good. What sets them apart from other warungs is the satay. Unlike the usual smooth, shredded texture, here the satay comes in meaty chunks – more chewy and substantial. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommended for authentic Balinese suckling pig with generous portions and a unique satay. Will be back! ”

“ Food is nice. Just order the spesial. Add the satay. You can add on other dishes but don’t suggest the Lewar as it is part of the spesial… unless you love the Lewar which is a lemongrass salad ( you don’t smell or taste lemongrass tho) shit through with chilli so it is spicy Get there by Grab or Bluebird taxi and walk down a small alleyway where the restaurant sits at the end ( you will see it when standing at the entrance of the alleyway and there is a sign). There are seats upstairs and down. It gets crowded at lunchtime with locals ( always a good sign). After lunch you can walk to the nearby ‘mall’ to pick up mementos at the supermarket or local fruit. Skip the Bali Brownies shop unless you can’t say no to brownies whether good or bad. ”
“ Please bear in mind it’s very stuffy dining in!!! The ventilation isn’t good and the fans are on low speed. You will be sweating as you are eating. Food’s flavourful. I asked for less spicy. There’s a lot of locals here which I’m assuming is good enough for their standards! Drop by for local food if you are in seminyak! No regrets. ”
